ASTM B444 Inconel 625 Seamless Tube Manufacturer
We are Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel (XTD), a leading Inconel 625 tube seamless manufacturer in China. This Seamless Inconel 625 tube is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that is non-magnetic and has no welded seam. We produce our Seamless Nickel Alloy 625tube by hot extruding solid billets and then cold drawing them to the right size. We manufacture these tubes in full compliance with the ASTM B444 standard. We also conduct strict non-destructive testing (NDT Testing) and hydro testing to ensure structural integrity and quality. This tube is a preferred choice for important high-pressure applications as it is very resistant to corrosion and has high mechanical strength over a wide range of temperatures (from cryogenic conditions to about 1800°F (982°C). As a trusted Inconel 625 tube supplier, we provide these tubes for high-performance uses like electronics manufacturing, medical devices, power generation and chemical processing. We hold multiple international certifications and can supply these tubes in about a week for stock orders.
Our ASTM B444 UNS N06625 tubes meet these specifications:
Standard ASTM B444
OD Range 6–257 mm
Thickness 1-35 mm
Length ≤ 22 m

Manufacturing Process of Seamless Inconel 625 Tube
The manufacturing process of Seamless Nickel Alloy 625 tube starts by melting raw materials in a vacuum furnace to create a pure and high-quality billet that is free from contaminants. Then, this solid billet is hot extruded into a rough hollow shell. Then the shell is cold-drawn or pilgered to achieve the precise size and smooth surface finish it needs. Lastly, the tube is heat-treated (annealed) to relieve internal stress. This makes sure the metal is flexible, strong and ready for service. Characteristics of Seamless Nickel Alloy 625 Tube
Inconel 625 seamless tubes have 6 characteristics. These include strength at high temperatures, fatigue and creep resistance, stable mechanical properties under pressure, reliability in seawater and chloride environments, oxidation resistance, and long-term durability and performance.
- Maintains Strength at High Temperatures: The alloy’s structure allows the tube to retain mechanical strength even when exposed to elevated temperatures (up to 1800°F (982°C). This is due to the molybdenum and niobium addition that provide solid-solution strengthening. This prevents softening at elevated temperatures.
- Excellent Fatigue and Creep Resistance: Inconel 625 tube has high fatigue strength and creep resistance when exposed to constant stress over time. Its robust microstructure prevents gradual deformation under sustained heavy loads.
- Stable Mechanical Properties Under Pressure: This tube handles intense pressure changes without warping or failing unpredictably. Its solid-solution–strengthened microstructure makes it reliable and safe even when the system is pushed to its limits.
- Reliable in Seawater and Chloride Environments: The Seamless Inconel 625 tube does not corrode or develop pits in salty water or chemical processing. The high nickel content forms a protective barrier that prevents chloride ions from corroding the surface.
- Outstanding Oxidation Resistance: The tube does not rust or scale up when exposed to air at high temperatures. This is because a protective oxide layer forms on the surface and protects the tube underneath from damage.
- Long-term Durability and Performance: Inconel 625 tube lasts a very long time without needing frequent repairs or replacement. This longevity comes from the combination of high strength and corrosion resistance, which stops the metal from wearing out.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What makes Inconel 625 Tube different from other nickel alloys?Inconel 625 tube differs from other nickel alloys as it has exceptionally high strength and superior corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater and chloride environments, while retaining mechanical stability at elevated temperatures.
-
Which ASTM standard applies to Inconel 625 tubes?ASTM B444 is the primary standard that applies to Inconel 625 tubes, and ASME SB444 is the code equivalent.
-
Are Inconel 625 tubes more expensive than stainless steel tubes?Yes. The price of Inconel 625 tubes is usually higher than that of regular stainless steel tubes. This is due to its superior nickel-based chemistry, special processing, and certification costs.
