ASTM A789 Super Duplex Steel S32750 Seamless Tube
We at XTD (Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel) are a trusted manufacturer in China of super duplex stainless steel UNS S32750 seamless tubes. This product is a nitrogen-alloyed steel tube, also known as Alloy 2507 or SAF 2507, which is made of a dual-phase balanced austenite-ferrite microstructure. The chemical composition of the tube includes a high concentration of chromium (24-26%), molybdenum (3-5%), nickel (6-8%), and nitrogen (0.24-0.32%), which ensures phase stability and improves strength and corrosion resistance. Our tubes are manufactured in accordance with ASTM A789 standards, using controlled melting, hot extrusion, and solution annealing processes. Our dual-phase seamless tube provides high mechanical strength and resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Our tubes are used for demanding applications such as flue gas cleaning, offshore oil platforms, chemical reactors and seawater desalination plants. As a multiple international certified manufacturer, we maintain the annual supply capacity of 25000 tons and a minimum order quantity of 200 kg for stock products and no MOQ for customised items. We deliver in-stock products in a lead time of around 1 week and production orders in 15-60 days from our facility in Songyang, China.

Key Steps For Manufacturing Super Duplex 2507 Tube
We produce super duplex 2507 tubes by melting high-purity raw materials in electric arc furnaces. This is followed by AOD (Argon-Oxygen Decarburisation) to precisely control carbon and nitrogen levels. The metal is hot extruded into seamless tubes and solution annealed at 1040-1100°C. After that, the tube is water quenched to maintain the balanced microstructure. We also ensure the tube meets ASTM A789 standards. Visit our page for the detailed manufacturing process.
Key Features of ASTM A789 UNS S32750 Seamless Tube
Our ASTM A789 UNS S32750 seamless tubes offer the following 4 key material features, like excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, which is ideal for a harsh industrial environment.
- Excellent Resistance to Stress Corrosion Cracking: SAF 2507 seamless tube provides high resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking in saline environments. The specific alloy composition prevents structural failure even when the metal is under high tensile stress.
- Strong Resistance to General Corrosion: Strong resistance to general corrosion means the alloy resists uniform metal loss in many acids, caustics, and seawater environments. This feature provides long service life for corrosion-resistant steel tubes in chemical processing lines, desalination piping, and flue gas scrubbing systems that see mixed acids and chlorides.
- High Mechanical Strength: The high mechanical strength of the super duplex 2507 UNS S32750 tube provides a yield strength roughly twice that of common austenitic grades. It performs well in high-pressure, corrosive environments like oil & gas, marine, and chemical processing, where both strength and corrosion resistance are critical.
- Good Weldability: The balanced microstructure provides excellent weldability when using standard industrial welding techniques. Proper heat input ensures the tube maintains the critical 50/50 austenite-ferrite phase ratio and corrosion resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is a super duplex 2507 tube?Super Duplex 2507 Tube is a high-alloy stainless steel tube with 25% chromium, increased molybdenum, and nitrogen compounds. It provides a 50-50 austenite-ferrite microstructure for better corrosion resistance and strength. It is one of the grades of super duplex stainless steel tubes.
-
What is the maximum operating temperature of the S32750 Tube? The maximum recommended operating temperature for S32750 tube is about 600°F (316°C) for long-term service because higher temperatures can reduce toughness and corrosion resistance.
-
Which standard is used for the super duplex S32750 tube?ASTM A789 is the key standard for super duplex S32750 seamless tubes. This standard defines the chemical composition, mechanical characteristics, and manufacturing requirements.
-
Why is the super duplex 2507 tube used in marine applications? The super duplex 2507 tube is used in marine applications due to its optimised austenite-ferrite microstructure. This alloy provides superior resistance to seawater pitting and stress corrosion cracking, exhibiting high mechanical strength due to its chemical composition.
