ASTM B622 Alloy C4 Seamless Tube Manufacturer in China
We are Xintongda Special Steel (XTD), a trusted manufacturer and supplier of the alloy C4 seamless tubes. This tube is a weld-free high-performance product made of nickel (around 65%), chromium (14-18%), molybdenum (14-17%), and other elements. We make our alloy C4 tubes using new-and-improved technology, and as per the ASTM B622 standard. This tube has exceptional corrosion resistance and thermal stability, which makes it useful for industries that face harsh chemicals and elevated temperatures (up to 1038 °C). The Ni-Cr-Mo tube is also highly resistant to sensitisation at heat-affected zones (HAZ). These characteristics make the alloy C4 tube a suitable choice for chemical, petrochemical, pulp & paper, and other industrial applications that face stress corrosion cracking and elevated temperatures.
At XTD, we have brilliant production and supply facilities, which help us to produce 25,000 tons annually. Our company is also ISO certified with more than four decades of experience. Due to this, we can deliver in-stock orders within a week and production orders in 15-60 days.

Key Steps in Manufacturing Alloy C4 Tube
We manufacture the UNS N06455 tube by heating and piercing a solid billet of the alloy to form a hollow shell, followed by hot working and cold drawing/ cold rolling to get precise dimensions. After that, we perform solution annealing on that tube to retain its corrosion resistance. Finally, we do acid pickling and straightening before sending it for tests. For detailed information, refer to our manufacturing process page.
What are the Features of Seamless Alloy C4 Tube?
The Alloy C4 tubing has 5 main characteristics which make it stand out: high temperature resistance, mechanical properties, chemical stability, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance.
- High Temperature Resistance: The C4 alloy tube remains stable and resists oxidation at high temperatures up to 1038 °C (1900 oF) due to its high nickel-chromium-molybdenum content.
- Mechanical Properties: This alloy exhibits exceptional mechanical properties, like yield strength, elongation, and tensile strength, achieved through solid solution strengthening that maintains structural integrity.
- Chemical Stability: The alloy C4 tube’s specific chemical composition, combined with low amounts of carbon and iron, results in a chemically stable tube.
- Corrosion Resistance: The nickel (approximately 65%) present in this alloy provides corrosion resistance against chlorides, acids, and alkali solutions. The molybdenum (14-17%) helps resist pitting and crevice corrosion.
- Wear Resistance: The Alloy C4 tube exhibits excellent wear resistance in corrosive and high-temperature environments due to its protective oxide layer and stable microstructure.
What is the Equivalent Standard for Alloy C4?
The Alloy C4 tube is recognised mainly through its standard designation UNS N06455. However, it is also known by many other international designations, like DIN designation 2.4610. The other equivalent designations have been covered in the table given below.
| STANDARD | WERKSTOFF NR. | UNS | AFNOR |
| Alloy C4 | 2.4610 | N06455 | NC 20 FeMo |
