Hastelloy Seamless Pipe Manufacturer
We are Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel (XTD), a manufacturer of Hastelloy seamless pipes based in China. Hastelloy seamless pipe is a nickel-based, corrosion-resistant pipe produced without a longitudinal weld from a solid billet by hot piercing, cold drawing, solution annealing, and straightening. The alloy family is designed for the most aggressive acids, chlorides, and high-temperature service, where standard austenitic stainless steel would pit, crack, or corrode through. We manufacture Hastelloy seamless pipe to ASTM B622 (equivalent ASME SB-622) in six grades: the C-family (C-276, C-22, C-4, C-2000) for oxidizing and mixed-acid service, and the B-family (B-2, B-3) for reducing acids, especially hydrochloric acid. Common applications include chemical processing, flue-gas desulfurization, pharmaceutical, sour oil and gas, and pulp bleaching. We have been manufacturing seamless pipe for more than 40 years, and have a number of international certifications on our Certificate page, and our annual supply capacity is 25,000 tons. Stock orders are shipped in 1 week; custom production orders will take 15 to 60 days.

What is Hastelloy Seamless Pipe?
A Hastelloy seamless pipe is a high-performance pipe made from nickel, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, manganese, and other elements. This nickel-based Hastelloy pipe has the ability to handle extreme temperatures, pressure and corrosive environments. It can also resist stress corrosion cracking, including in knife-line attack at the weld heat-affected zone (HAZ). At XTD, we provide various grades of the Hastelloy seamless pipes, like Hastelloy C-22, C-276, B-2, C-4, B-3, and C-2000.

What are the key advantages of Hastelloy Seamless Pipe?
There are 4 main advantages of the Hastelloy seamless pipe: prevents leak-related failures, increases system reliability, durable & long-lasting, and cost-effective long term.
- Prevents Leak-Related Failures: Hastelloy seamless pipe has a uniform microstructure throughout the wall thickness, and performs very well at heat-affected zones (HAZ). This prevents leak-related failures in the alloy.
- Increases System Reliability: The alloy has a high mechanical strength (yield and tensile strength), which prevents failure under stress. Also, it resists stress corrosion cracking very well. These properties increase overall system reliability.
- Durable & Long-Lasting: The high nickel, molybdenum, and chromium content helps provide resistance to corrosion in oxidising and reducing acids, chlorides and seawater, pitting, and crevice corrosion. The alloy also maintains its strength in elevated temperatures. The combination of these qualities means the pipe lasts longer and stays reliable in harsh conditions.
- Cost-Effective Long-Term: Since the Hastelloy pipe has better fabricability, durability, resistance to overall corrosion, and system reliability, it proves to be a cost-effective solution in the long run, especially in harsh processing environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What Is the Manufacturing Process of Hastelloy Seamless Pipes? The manufacturing process of Hastelloy seamless pipes involves heating and piercing a solid billet to form a hollow shell, hot-working and cold-drawing to get its precise dimensions, performing controlled solution annealing to restore its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, pickling, and straightening. The final step is inspection and testing before packaging and dispatch.
-
What temperatures can Hastelloy seamless pipes handle?Hastelloy seamless pipes can handle temperatures up to 1900°F (1038°C) for C-family alloys (C276, C22, C4, C2000) and up to 1600°F (870°C) for B3 and up to 1500°F (816°C) for B2 in reducing environments.
-
Which Hastelloy grades are commonly used for seamless pipes? For seamless pipe, XTD supplies six Hastelloy grades: C-276, C-22, C-4, and C-2000 in the C-family for oxidizing and mixed-acid service, and B-2 and B-3 in the B-family for reducing-acid service. Grade selection depends on the acid type, chloride content, operating temperature, and whether the environment is oxidizing or reducing.
-
What standards are Hastelloy seamless pipes manufactured to?We manufacture Hastelloy seamless pipe to ASTM B622 (equivalent ASME SB-622), which is the standard specification for seamless nickel and nickel-cobalt alloy pipe and tube. Material test certificates are issued to EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 on request.
