ASTM B407 Incoloy 800HT Seamless Pipe Manufacturer
At Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd, we make high-quality Incoloy 800HT Seamless Pipe for demanding thermal environments. This specific nickel-iron-chromium alloy contains approximately 30-35% nickel and 19-23% chromium, with added aluminium and titanium (0.85-1.20%). As a China-based manufacturer and a global supplier, we make sure our pipes fully comply with the ASTM, EN, JIS, GB, and GOST standards. Our Incoloy 800HT is a preferred choice over standard grades because the controlled chemical composition provides superior creep and stress-rupture resistance. Unique features include exceptional stability and resistance to oxidation, carburisation, and nitriding at temperatures up to 1800°F. These pipes are used in chemical processing, power generation and heat treatment furnaces. Every product undergoes strict quality checks including ultrasonic and hydrostatic testing, before delivery to guarantee performance. We are a multiple internationally certified manufacturer and supply high performance solutions with competitive pricing for Incoloy 800HT Seamless Pipe to assist our clients in optimising their operational costs and long-term infrastructure investments. We have an annual supply capacity of 25,000 tons.

Manufacturing Process of Incoloy 800HT Pipe
Initially, the production of Incoloy 800HT pipe involves precision hot extrusion. Cold rolling or cold drawing is then carried out to obtain the necessary dimensions and mechanical properties. Following that, controlled solution annealing is used to improve creep resistance and grain size. For a detailed breakdown of the entire manufacturing process, click here.
Characteristics of Alloy 800HT Pipe
The main technical feature of ASTM B407 seamless pipe is that it maintains its structural integrity in changing thermal conditions. The following list shows the exact features of this grade:
- Good Corrosion Resistance: Resists aqueous corrosion at moderate temperatures and high-temperature oxidation. The high nickel content specifically provides protection against chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking, which often plagues standard stainless steels.
- Elevated Temperature Resistance: Maintains mechanical strength when exposed to heat up to 1800°F (982°C). The alloy remains stable during long term exposure, preventing the phase transformations that lead to brittleness in other materials.
- Chemical Composition: Incoloy 800HT pipe contains optimal proportions of nickel, iron, and chromium. This composition ensures that a protective oxide scale forms and sticks tightly to the metal surface when the temperature changes.
- Workability: Exhibits excellent cold forming characteristics despite high strength. It can be welded using standard techniques such as GTAW or GMAW provided the matching filler metal is used to maintain the 800HT properties.
- Mechanical Properties: Controlled additions of titanium and aluminum lead to high stress-to-rupture values. Aluminum and titanium additions enhance high-temperature strength by maintaining microstructural stability.
Incoloy UNS N08811 Equivalent Material
Incoloy 800HT is identified as UNS N08811. Some of the commonly known equivalents are DIN 1.4859 and different specs of the Incolloy alloy 800HT series.

Difference Between Incoloy 800H vs 800HT
While both alloys belong to the same family, the primary distinction lies in the chemistry and the resulting strength at high temperatures. Both grades are solution annealed to achieve a coarse grain size, but the 800HT variant requires a more restrictive chemical range to ensure maximum creep resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How is 800HT different from Incoloy 800/800H Pipe?Incoloy 800HT features a more restricted chemistry, specifically requiring a higher combined total of aluminium and titanium (0.85-1.20%) compared to the base 800 or 800H grades. This allows 800HT to provide significantly higher creep and stress-rupture properties in temperatures exceeding 1100°F.
