ASTM A213 Stainless Steel 316L Seamless Tube Manufacturer

We, Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel (XTD), are a leading manufacturer in China and a global supplier of the TP316L Seamless Tube. TP316L is a premium low carbon austenitic alloy that consists of 16.0–18.0% chromium, 10.0–14.0% nickel, and 2.00–3.00% molybdenum. We manufacture these tubes in strict compliance with ASTM A213, A269, A511, and EN 10216-5 standards. We maintain a carbon limit of 0.030% to prevent intergranular corrosion during welding. It also has high resistance to chloride pitting. Due to the 316L tube’s low carbon content, it has good structural stability and weldability. Our TP316L SMLS tubes carry these properties further, as they also have high tensile strength and are non magnetic (in the annealed state), making them suitable for use in critically controlled environments. These tubes are essential for heat exchangers, marine hardware, and pharmaceutical piping. Every unit undergoes strict quality checks, including PMI and hydrostatic testing, before delivery. As a multiple internationally certified company, we ensure all Inox 316L tube orders meet global safety benchmarks while offering competitive pricing for TP316L Seamless Tube projects to maximise your operational value.

316L Stainless Steel Tube Manufacturing Process

High quality round steel billets are our starting point that are pierced to form a hollow shell and subsequently processed through cold drawing or cold rolling for precise dimensions. We also perform solution annealing, pickling and straightening on our tubes so that they have the best mechanical properties, surface finish and dimensional accuracy.

Characteristics of 316L Stainless Steel Tubes

Below are the 6 primary features of our tubes:

  • Low Carbon Content: The low carbon content (0.030%) stops carbide precipitation at the grain boundaries. This prevents the metal from cracking or corroding after it has been welded.
  • High Strength & Toughness: Our TP316L seamless tubes have excellent tensile and yield strength. Their superior toughness allows them to withstand mechanical stress and harsh operating conditions without failure.
  • Biocompatibility: Our tube is fully biocompatible due to its easy sterilisation and unique chemical composition.
  • Corrosion Resistance: The molybdenum content stabilises the passive chromium oxide film against localised breakdown in chloride-rich saltwater and acidic environments.
  • Good Formability & Ductility: The metal can easily bend or flare without breaking. This helps engineers create complex piping systems with fewer joints.
  • High Tensile Strength: Our tubes deliver high tensile strength and excellent elongation. This helps maintain structural integrity under sustained loads.

Which Industries Commonly use Stainless Steel 316L Tube?

Our ASME SA213 TP 316L Stainless Steel Tube is found in 6 major industries.

Chemical Processing

Marine Applications

Heat Exchangers and Evaporators

Pharmaceutical Industry

Food Processing

Medical Equipment

Chemical Processing

Chemical Processing

Our tubes transport aggressive acids and hot chemicals through processing and refinery systems. The molybdenum content prevents acidic media from corroding the tube wall.
Marine Applications

Marine Applications

The TP316L tube is mainly used in desalination plants and offshore oil rigs exposed to constant salt spray and submersion.
Heat Exchangers and Evaporators

Heat Exchangers and Evaporators

Mainly used to transfer heat in power plants and HVAC systems.
Pharmaceutical Industry

Pharmaceutical Industry

Our tubes move liquid medicines and pure water through sterile factories.
Food Processing

Food Processing

We supply tubes for milk, wine and juice production lines. The alloy does not change the taste of the food and resists corrosion from food acids.
Medical Equipment

Medical Equipment

Our small-diameter tubes are used for surgical tools and implants. They are non-magnetic when annealed, making them safe for use near MRI machines.
