ASTM B407 Incoloy 800H Seamless Pipe Manufacturer
We are Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel (XTD), a leading manufacturer of Incoloy 800H seamless pipes in China. This alloy is made of nickel, iron, and chromium. It typically contains 30–35% nickel and 19-23% chromium, and trace amounts of other elements, like manganese, silicon, and carbon. We manufacture these alloy 800H pipes according to the ASTM B407 standard.
The Incoloy 800H Seamless Pipe works well in harsh environments and elevated temperatures. They don't rust, oxidise or corrode easily at high temperatures. The 800H alloy is known for how well it resists creep and stress rupture. It withstands service temperatures up to 900°C (16500F) for intermittent service. Because of these qualities, the Incoloy 800H pipe is used in industries like petrochemical processing, heat exchangers, and nuclear power. Our pipes undergo rigorous quality checks before delivery to ensure reliability. We are a multiple international certified manufacturer that provides competitive prices. Our products are highly qualified and provide the best performance.

Alloy 800H Seamless Pipe Manufacturing Process
The manufacturing process of the alloy 800H seamless pipe begins by heating and piercing a solid billet of the metal into a hollow shell. Then, it goes through hot rolling and cold drawing, where the shell gets its precise dimensions. Later, solution annealing is performed to retain its mechanical properties. The last step is pickling and straightening after which the 800H pipe goes for testing and inspection. To know the whole manufacturing process, kindly visit this page.
Characteristics of Incoloy 800H Seamless Pipe
The ASME SB407 Incoloy 800H Seamless Pipe has 5 important characteristics that make it a good choice for high-stress and high-temperature settings.
- Chemical Composition: Composed of nickel, iron and chromium, with a carbon content range of 0.05%–0.10%, this pipe has excellent resistance to oxidation and carburisation at elevated temperatures.
- Elevated Temperature Resistance: The Incoloy 800H Seamless Pipe is great for elevated temperatures. It is resistant to oxidation, carburisation and high temperature corrosion.
- Mechanical Properties: It has excellent stress-rupture strength and creep resistance for long-term durability and performance under thermal and mechanical stress.
- Good Corrosion Resistance: The high chromium content makes the pipe resistant to corrosive environments, which makes it ideal for oxidising and carburising atmospheres.
- Workability: Incoloy 800H offers excellent formability and can be readily fabricated using standard metalworking techniques. It can be hot or cold formed and is easily welded using conventional welding methods without the need for post-weld heat treatment.
ASME SB407 Incoloy 800H Pipe Tolerance
Seamless Incoloy 800H pipes are manufactured under very strict tolerances according to the ASTM B407 standards. Our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure that they have the dimensional precision needed for the application. The pipes have standard outer diameters (OD) of 6 to 508 mm and thicknesses of 1 to 65 mm, which makes them suitable for various industrial demands.

Difference Between Incoloy 800 vs 800H
Incoloy 800 and 800H are both high-temperature alloys, but they differ mainly in carbon content and mechanical properties:
| Feature | Incoloy 800 | Incoloy 800H |
| Carbon Content | 0.10% max | 0.05%–0.10% |
| Creep Resistance | Lower | Higher (Improved for high-temperature use) |
| Stress-Rupture Strength | Lower | Higher |
| Temperature Resistance | Up to 870 °C | Up to 900 °C |
| Application | General high-temperature use | Specific high-stress, high-temperature use |
The lower carbon content in Incoloy 800H is responsible for the material's improved creep resistance and stress and rupture strength. Therefore Incoloy 800H can withstand higher temperatures (900°C) more effectively while Incoloy 800 is only suitable for temperatures up to 870°C.
