Monel is a nickel-copper alloy with approximately 63 to 70% nickel and 28 to 34% copper, engineered for service that would attack ordinary stainless. Its defining strengths are resistance to de-aerated hydrofluoric acid, high-velocity seawater, and reducing acids, plus stable strength from cryogenic temperatures to about 538 °C (1000 °F). We manufacture seamless Monel pipe to ASTM B165 (equivalent ASME SB-165) for Monel 400. Age-hardened Monel K-500 in seamless pipe form is supplied to a company specification that references ASTM B865 for chemistry and heat-treat condition, since there is no dedicated ASTM standard for K-500 in pipe or tube form. Typical applications include marine and offshore environments, hydrofluoric acid alkylation units, chemical processing plants, and salt production facilities. We hold multiple international certifications, listed on our Certificate page, and operate with an annual production capacity of 25,000 tons, with a 200 kg minimum order for custom runs and no minimum for stock items. Stock products typically ship within one week, while custom production orders are usually completed within 15 to 60 days.

A Monel pipe is a high-performance piping product made from a nickel-copper alloy that we specifically design for highly corrosive environments where carbon steel or regular stainless steel would quickly break down. Monel metal is an alloy of predominantly nickel (ranging from 63% to 70%) and copper (approximately 28%-34% copper), with small but critical additions of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon to enhance its mechanical profile. The chemical stability of Monel allows it to withstand high-velocity flowing seawater with minimal erosion. It also provides reliable performance in high-temperature steam environments. Being a non-ferrous alloy, Monel forms a stable protective surface layer rather than rusting like iron-based metals, providing long-term corrosion resistance.
