ASTM B407 Incoloy 800H Seamless Tube Manufacturer
As a reliable Incoloy 800H seamless tube manufacturer in China, at Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel (XTD), we make tubes that meet ASTM B407 standard. Incoloy 800H seamless (SMLS) tube, also known by the designation DIN 1.4958 tube, is a high-strength nickel-iron-chromium alloy tube. As compared to the standard Alloy 800, this tube has better performance and creep-rupture strength because of the controlled levels of carbon, aluminium, and titanium. It maintains integrity within a temperature range up to 1100°F (593°C). The SMLS 800H tube is resistant to oxidation, carburisation, nitridation and thermal fatigue. This makes it ideal for applications requiring continuous exposure to elevated temperatures. It also exhibits excellent resistance to aqueous corrosion.. Its properties make it a primary choice for superheater and reheater tubes in power plants. We are ISO-certified and supply global industrial clients. We also provide custom Incoloy 800H tubes that meet customer requirements.
Our ASME SB407 Incoloy 800H tube meets the following specifications:
-
Standard ASTM B407
-
OD Range 6-457 mm -
Thickness 1-65 mm -
Length ≤ 22 m

Manufacturing Process Alloy 800H Seamless Tube
The manufacturing process of Alloy 800H seamless tubes starts with a solid billet of the nickel-iron-chromium alloy. A rotary piercing mill is often used to make a hollow shell out of this billet. After that, the shell is cold-worked by drawing or rolling it to get the right diameter, wall thickness and surface finish. To optimise the material’s properties, a final annealing heat treatment is performed on the tube. Refer to this page to learn about the detailed production of seamless tubes.
Features of Incoloy 800H Tube
ASME SB407 Incoloy 800H tube has 5 key characteristics: good corrosion resistance, optimized chemical composition, excellent mechanical properties, good workability, and elevated temperature resistance.
- Good Corrosion Resistance: Incoloy 800H tube resists oxidation, carburisation and nitridation in high-temperature environments, mainly due to the nickel and chromium content. This increases the service life of heat exchangers, furnace components, and chemical processing equipment by reducing material degradation.
- Chemical Composition: This tube contains controlled levels of carbon (0.05-0.10%), aluminium, and titanium to maintain stability and strength. This specific composition ensures the tube meets the ASME SB407 standard and maintains its strength under high heat and pressure.
- Mechanical Properties: The tube has high tensile strength and creep-rupture strength even at high temperatures. These properties allow the tube to endure significant stress and maintain structural integrity in demanding pressure applications like steam generation.
- Good Workability: DIN 1.4958 tube can be readily formed, welded, and machined using standard industrial processes due to its austenitic crystal structure. This ease of fabrication reduces manufacturing complexity and cost. It also allows for efficient creation of intricate tube shapes and assemblies.
- Elevated Temperature Resistance: As the tube undergoes a solution-annealed treatment, it remains stable at temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C). This resistance ensures that the tube can be used safely in extremely hot environments, like petrochemical heaters and parts of nuclear reactors, without losing strength.
