ASTM B622 Alloy C4 Seamless Pipe Manufacturer
We, Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel Manufacturing (XTD), are a China-based manufacturer and global supplier of Alloy C4 seamless pipes. C4 pipe is a high-performing tubular product made from an alloy of nickel (balance), chromium (14-18%), and molybdenum (14-17%). This UNS N06455 pipe has a high amount of nickel, a balanced amount of chromium and molybdenum (approximately 15%), and a very low amount of carbon (less than or equal to 0.015%). We manufacture our Alloy C4 pipes in adherence to the ASTM B622 standard. The properties of the C4 pipe make it highly resistant to grain boundary precipitation in the heat-affected zones (HAZ) and chemicals. Alloy C4 pipe is an ideal choice for chemical processing, nuclear, and pollution control applications.
We are a leading manufacturer of this seamless pipe, and our supply capacity is 25,000 tons. With more than 4 decades of experience, we can deliver the in-stock products within a week and production orders in 15-60 days. Since we are ISO certified, many industries rely on us as an Alloy C4 pipe supplier.

Manufacturing Process of Alloy C4 Pipe
We at XTD manufacture the Alloy C4 alloy pipe by taking a solid billet of nickel-chromium-molybdenum, and then heating those billets so they can be pierced and elongated into a hollow shell. Then, we cold roll or cold draw this shell according to the required thickness and diameter. After it gets its shape, the pipe goes through a heat treatment where its corrosion resistance is strengthened. Our last step is to straighten, clean the surface, and test to ensure it meets the quality standards. To check out the whole manufacturing process, visit this page.
What are the Key Features of Seamless C4 Alloy Pipe?
There are 3 main features of the Seamless Alloy C4 Pipes: high-temperature stability, corrosion resistance, and weldability.
- High-Temperature Stability: It has the power to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from 649-1038°C (1200-1900°F).
- Corrosion Resistance: It doesn't corrode easily when it comes into contact with contaminated mineral acids, organic acids, chlorine, seawater, brine, and other harsh chemicals.
- Weldability: This alloy is easily welded using TIG, MIG, or stick welding methods without risk of cracking.
These features make it highly favourable for industrial applications with highly corrosive and extremely high-temperature environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How does Alloy C4 pipe compare to other corrosion-resistant alloys?C4 seamless pipe is better than many other corrosion-resistant alloys. It can resist chloride-induced SCC, doesn’t crack quickly, can withstand extreme temperatures (up to 1040°C), and provides better strength due to the higher amount of molybdenum in it.
