ASTM B163 Alloy 825 Tube Manufacturer in China

We are Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel (XTD), a reputable manufacturer and global supplier of Incoloy 825 seamless tube. Incoloy 825 tube is a high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloy tube constructed without a welded seam. It consists of chromium (19.5-23.5%), iron (around 22%) and nickel (38-46%). We provide this tube in compliance with the ASTM B163 standard. It stands out for the balanced chemical composition that provides it exceptional resistance to various corrosive environments, including strong acids (sulfuric & phosphoric), alkalis, and seawater. Its high nickel content and chromium, with additions of molybdenum (2.5 – 3.5%) and copper (1.5 – 3.0%), make it highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking, reducing media, and oxidising environments. Due to its resistance to corrosion the Incoloy 825 tube is a good choice for applications like chemical processing, especially for strong acids, and the oil and gas industry for sour service. We are Multiple international certified manufacturer and have an annual supply capacity of 25,000 tons. This allows us to meet the global demand for custom and reliable tubes.

As a reliable Incoloy 825 tube supplier, we provide pipes that meet the following specifications:

Manufacturing Process of Incoloy 825 Tubing

The first step in the manufacturing process of nickel alloy metal tubing 825 is to use hot extrusion or hot piercing to turn solid alloy billets into a hollow shell. Then, cold working methods like cold drawing or cold rolling are used to make the shell the right size and thickness. Finally, the tubes are heat-treated (annealed) to relieve stress and then put through strict tests to ensure they are of high quality before being sent out for delivery.

What industries commonly use Incoloy 825 tube?

There are 6 industries that commonly use Incoloy 825 tube. These include:

Chemical Processing

Thermal Processing

Pollution Control

Oil and Gas Recovery

Nuclear Fuel Reprocessing

Acid Production and Pickling Operations

Chemical Processing

Chemical Processing

The tube is used for heat exchangers and piping systems. This is as it resists highly corrosive substances, especially sulfuric and phosphoric acids.
Thermal Processing

Thermal Processing

Incoloy 825 tubes are an important part of heat exchangers and heating elements that operate at high temperatures. It stays strong and resists rust even when the temperature is a little higher than normal.
Pollution Control

Pollution Control

The tube is important in equipment like flue gas desulfurization scrubbers. It resists the corrosive attack from sulfur-containing acid environments created during this process.
Oil and Gas Recovery

Oil and Gas Recovery

The tube is used for wellhead tubing and piping in sour gas service. Its resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking is crucial in deep, corrosive wells.
Nuclear Fuel Reprocessing

Nuclear Fuel Reprocessing

Incoloy 825 tube is used in equipment that dissolves nuclear fuel elements. It resists the complex, mixed corrosive media, including nitric acid and radioactive wastes.
Acid Production and Pickling Operations

Acid Production and Pickling Operations

The tubing forms tank heaters, baskets, and coils for handling acids, especially sulfuric acid. This strong resistance prevents material breakdown during metal cleaning processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is an 825 Incoloy tube?
Incoloy 825 tube is a seamless tube made from Incoloy 825 alloy (UNS N08825), which is a nickel-iron-chromium material with additions of copper, molybdenum, and titanium. This chemical composition makes it much better at resisting corrosion in harsh environments.
