ASTM A213 Stainless Steel 316 Seamless Tube Manufacturer

We, Zhejiang Xintongda Special Steel (XTD), are a China-based trusted manufacturer of stainless steel 316 seamless tubes. SS 316, also known as TP316, is an austenitic grade stainless steel that contains 16-18% chromium, 11-14% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum, 2% manganese, and other elements in very small amounts. We make our SS 316 tubes according to the ASTM A213, A269, A511, EN 10216-5 standards.

The added molybdenum content in this tube makes it highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. The UNS S31600 tube’s austenitic structure increases its toughness to maintain stability at cryogenic temperatures. It also provides moderate creep strength, stress-to-rupture strength, and tensile strength. This makes the TP316 tube suitable for applications like marine, chemical, and others, where stability and corrosion resistance are crucial.

We at XTD have been serving our customers for 4 decades, and we hold many Multiple international certifications. Our annual supply capacity is 25,000 tons, which helps us meet the rapid industrial needs.

SS 316 Seamless Tube Manufacturing Process

We manufacture our sus 316 tube in accordance with the ASTM A213 standard by heating and piercing the austenitic SS billet to form a hollow shell. After that, we do hot working and cold-drawing/ cold rolling so that the shell gets its desired dimensions. Later, we perform solution annealing to restore the tube’s corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The last step involves pickling and straightening, after which we send the tube for testing. Key Features of 316 Stainless Steel Tube

Our Stainless Steel 316 Tubes offer 4 main characteristics: superior corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, non-magnetic, and good weldability & fabrication.

  • Superior Corrosion Resistance: Chromium (16-18%) forms a protective layer of oxide to prevent oxidation, and molybdenum makes this layer more stable and resists pitting and crevice corrosion in chlorides like seawater.
  • High temperature resistance: Nickel stabilises the alloy's austenitic phase, which prevents phase change and creep up to 870°C
  • Non-Magnetic: SS 316 behaves non-magnetically in its annealed state due to its fully austenitic microstructure.
  • Good Weldability & Fabrication: The balanced chemical composition, along with the austenitic structure, makes the SS 316 seamless tube more ductile, weldable, and fabricable.
